During school holidays the resort is busier, and accommodation more expensive. However, Serre Chevalier is an excellent-value resort, and is often significantly cheaper than other major resorts, even during the school holidays.
During the winter the ski and snowboard area is more than big enough to cope with the holiday weeks. Picking strategic lifts, routes and times will mean you avoid the large ski school groups. We know the ropes when it comes to avoiding long queues, and will be happy to share our knowledge with you!
French school zones
- Zone A: Caen, Clermont-Ferrand, Grenoble, Lyon, Montpellier, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Rennes, Toulouse
- Zone B: Aix-marseille, Amiens, Besançon, Dijon, Lille, Limoges, Nice, Orléans-Tours, Poitiers, Reims, Rouen, Strasbourg
- Zone C: Bordeaux, Cretéil, Paris, Versailles
