Alison and Duncan

Chez Serre Chevalier is run by Duncan Newbury and Alison Dickie who have been involved in every step of setting up the business and will be involved in every detail of your holiday.

"We are a British couple and we are very excited about the opportunity to provide you with your ideal mountain holiday. We love all things to do with the Serre Chevalier Valley, from the amazing ski area to hiking and biking in summer, and to experiencing the local French cuisine. We think the valley has so much to offer, and we are here in resort to be involved every step of the way in providing you with your holiday, your way. We have been on mountain holidays far and wide: from hut-to-hut hiking in Zermatt, to skiing in Australia (yes, it is possible!), and touring the ski resorts of Colorado. We also both have experience of working for other tour operators offering ski holidays in the French Alps.

Our philosophy is simple: we love the mountains and we want you to love your holiday in the mountains. We think you should be able to have a tailor-made holiday without paying over the odds for it. We look forward to welcoming you to the Serre Chevalier Valley."

Alison says...

"We can’t wait to welcome you to the Serre Chevalier Valley because we think it’s a real hidden treasure in the French Alps. Everyone that visits this resort, in either winter or summer, is blown away by how beautiful the valley is and how much it has to offer. I’m also really proud of the product that Duncan and I are able to offer our guests. It’s very rare these days for the person that picks up the phone or responds to your email enquiry to be the same person that it is in resort and can tell you whether it’s snowing or whether your chalet has a particular item."

Duncan says...

"I have grown up with a love of hiking and skiing, and have been lucky enough to be part of the outdoors and snowsports industries for the past six years, during which time I have worked in the French Alps as a Resort Rep and then in London with The Outdoors Show, The Ski & Snowboard Show and The London Bike Show.

I am very excited to be working with Alison to create perfect tailor-made holiday experiences in the spectacular Serre Chevalier Valley. Over the years, I have learnt what turns a good holiday into a great holiday, and we will be doing everything we can to ensure you have a truly memorable experience with Chez Serre Chevalier.
